Referrals, Rewards and Perks for your Clients...More $ in your pocket
You guys are always asking for more ways to make money, how to incentivize your clients and keep them coming back for more! Here are a few easy and fun ways I have done that through out my 10 years owning Glow Skincare and 15 in the industry.
Before we get into the fun stuff,I am going to give it to you straight like I always do! Building a clientele takes timeeeeee! Like a lot of time, consistency and energy. Once you get a client through the door that's where the work starts, not ends. You need to treat your clients like gold and their skin like gold too. Meaning you have to be a good esthetician, which has so many layers. You have to make people feel comfortable, you have to analyze and understand skin, come up with a game plan and then treat the skin. That is the baseline, minimum of what is expected. Then, on top of that, you have to not just do that once, but get them to come back for more. So, what I am saying is, be patient with yourself and also check-yo-self and see if you are performing up to the standards you would expect from an esthetician. The more honest you are, the better. OK! Now that you have checked all your boxes as an excellent esthetician, we get to have fun. I love offering a referral program and rewards for my clients. I’m a giver, always have been and I feel like most of us esty’s are.
Referrals, Referrals, Referrals!!!
I love referrals, I am obsessed with referrals and when I was growing my books, referrals was and still is where it's at!! I know it sounds too simple and maybe even “old school” but talk to any successful Esthetician who has been in the game 5+ years and I bet they will say the same thing. For example, some of my longest, most loyal clients are referrals. All it takes is one person to come in, fall in love with you and your services and then they calls their mom, best friend, sister and boyfriend + BOOM you just got 5 new clients and I bet you they are going to continue the pattern, telling their friends and family. It might not happen overnight but TRUST once you get the ball rolling it doesn't stop. If you want to take your referral game to the next level, create a program. I told my clients for each client they referred they would receive $10 off their next service and so would their friends they referred, everyone wins! Some booking systems offer referral programs for easy tracking or you could even make cute referral cards and TAKE NOTES in your clients file.
Speaking of Client Files, do you keep them? You should! More on that in a blog coming soon.
Anyhow, start focusing on referrals and In due time you’ll be booked. Trust.
Rewards
Ok, seriously who doesn’t love a little rewards program. I know I do. If Starbucks tells me the more coffee I order the more free coffee and treats I get, you bet I'm going to make sure I get all my rewards. It’s like a game and I love it. At Glow we were offering Cosmedix stamp cards, for every $25 spent they got a stamp. After $250 spent you received $25 off! It was so successful that we started doing it with our facials too, especially when I was helping my other estheticians grow their books. We created Glow Club, I know so cute right? Each time you got a facial you received a stamp, after 10 stamps you got a facial for FREE. If you feel like FREE is well, too Free lol. You could offer 50% off or a Free jelly mask just to name a few, but this is always where I challenge you to get creative! Hailey made us these super cute cards on Vista Print and had a custom stamp made HERE.
Perks
Last but not least we can't forget about perks. It’s the little things right? Complimentary sparkling water or tea. I love to offer chic tester products or individually packed samples in the bathroom for clients to try. And don’t forget to make it fun, maybe a gift with purchase during the holidays or even a special add on the month of your clients birthday. The options are endless and your clients will love you for it.
Now go out there and build those books, love your clients and make some money!
Xoxo Kasey
